Kendjam 2023 Season Fishing Report | Week 12 September 10 to 17

Water Conditions:
Water Color – clear 
Water Level – low  

Weather Conditions:
Temperature – Average 33ºC
Sunny every day with a heavy storm on Saturday night

Fishing conditions:
With extremely low water levels, it didn't take long for the water temperature to rise. This caused the fish to be less active or only be in specific places.

Most of the fishing for Peacock Bass was in some deep pools or currents like runs or waterfalls. 
Rubber pacus were not as active this week. We were able to tempt some using nymphs hanging from large dry flies.

We got the opportunity to fish for silver pacus that were eating flowers that came from the trees.
The wolffish fishery also decreased but we had the chance to catch some excellent sizes.

Having one of the most difficult weeks of the season because of the level and temperature of the water, the fishermen managed to overcome it with catches of excellent trophies.

Biggest fish landed in the week:

Wolf Fish: 86 cm

Peacock Bass: 63 cm

Mantrinxã: 50 cm

Pacu Borracha: 36 cm

Pacu Prata: 35 cm 

Bicuda: 70 cm

Highlights:
Having one of the most difficult weeks of the season because of the level and temperature of the water, the fishermen managed to overcome it with catches of excellent sizes.

We had several Peacock Bass over 50 cm and Tarquin stood out with one of 63cm. 

Emilie got a 50 cm Matrinxa with a streamer that gave her a pleasant surprise and incredible battle.

John came with a clear target to Kendjam, wolffish. He got it on his second day and it was an incredible 87 cm trophy. Well done John!
