3. FISHING CONDITIONS
a) A lot of silver pacu eating under the trees and big hatches of mayflies at night contributed to some great fishing. The peacock bass fishing was slow this week, perhaps because of the big hatches at night and lots of baitfish eating at the surface. But the wolf fish action was very good, and the matrinxa fishing on dry flies made for a good week for those who like fishing dries. Our good friend Oliver White landed a nice payara and also had wolf fish and a peacock bass double with his wife, Beth.
b) Total number of fish landed during the week: 252
c) Biggest fish landed during the week:
- Peacock Bass: 55cm
- Wolf Fish: 82cm
- Matrinxa: 49cm
- Pacu Borracha: 34cm
- Pacu Prata: 36cm
